The X-Ray taken post surgery

You might think that cases like this are few and far between but alas. They are quite common.

We were today contacted by a vet west clinic asking if we could take on this girl after she was abandoned with a broken tibia. She has had surgery and is now on the road to recovery.

Sometimes the unexpected does happen and this is one of the things we urge people to consider prior to adding a pet to the family.

This girl is now safe with us and we will bring updates on her recovery as things progress. As a no kill rescue we often get asked to take more difficult cases like this because people know we will exercise all medical avenues and will never put an animal down because it is too expensive.

Please note Nala has now been rehomed and is living a wonderful life, updates on her progress can be found below!

Update 15/12/2019, this girl now named Nala has settled into her quiet foster home for recovery. Isn’t she gorgeous?

Update 5/3/2020 - Nala is now bar free, healed and loving life in her new home, where she lives with her human family and another SAFE Perth - Saving Perth Animals from Euthanasia adoptee named Dash! We just love happy endings. Thank you to everyone who donated toward Nala’s vet care.
