Meet Sadie
Sadie is a Saint Bernard and the definition of a gentle giant. She’s a large-breed girl with an even larger heart, and her favourite thing in the world is simply being near her people. Wherever you go, Sadie will quietly follow — not to get into mischief, but to lie down nearby and keep you company.
She’s a calm, affectionate soul who spends much of her day napping and relaxing, making her a surprisingly easy keeper for her size. That said, she does need access to air conditioning or cool spaces during hot weather — this fluffy girl does not do heat.
Sadie is toilet trained, enjoys car rides, and is generally very settled around the home. Everyone who meets her tends to fall instantly in love.
Things to know about Sadie:
Low-energy indoors — happy to snooze most of the day
Great in the car — loves coming along for rides
High grooming needs — regular brushing is a must, and she happily lies there soaking up the attention
Strong on lead — due to her size and strength, she needs a confident, experienced handler. She may pull if something excites her, and her size alone can be intimidating to other dogs
Child-friendly — unfazed by children
Best as the only pet — she can be a bit silly and overwhelming around other animals
Despite her laid-back nature, Sadie has proven herself to be something of a Houdini. She will require secure fencing and a very secure home, as she’d much prefer to accompany you on every outing than be left behind.
Sadie would thrive in a home with experience in large or giant breeds, where her size, strength, and grooming needs are well understood and embraced.
