Bernie Boy

Bernie is a sweet 5-month-old boy who came down from Broome with his brother to find his forever home. Sadly, he didn’t have the best start to life, but he’s ready to leave that behind and start a new chapter with a loving family.

Bernie is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. He’s an affectionate puppy who will literally bowl you over with love once he knows you. Because of his early experiences, he can be a little nervous when meeting new people and will need patience and confidence building while he learns that the world is a safe place.

Bernie could live happily as the only dog, or with a calm, confident female dog who can help show him the ropes. He hasn’t been tested with cats. Older children would be fine as long as they understand he may be a little shy at first and give him time to settle.

As he is still young, Bernie would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to help with training, routine, and reassurance.

With a patient and loving family, Bernie will blossom into the most loyal and devoted companion. All he wants is a home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly part of the family.
