Meet Polar Bear

Polar Bear was rescued in Halls Creek after he was found living on the streets with a serious leg injury. Clearly seeking help and human contact, he kept returning to a social worker’s home. She didn’t have the heart to leave him there, so she contacted us.

Polar Bear is now fully recovered, happy and healthy. He is the kind of dog who makes life feel lighter just by being nearby. He’s a joyful, playful soul with a happy grin and a heart that seems a little too big for his body. Wherever you go, Polar Bear follows—tail wagging, eyes bright—like he’s just thrilled to be part of whatever you’re doing. Polar Bear adores romping around, chasing and wrestling happily with our other rescue dog. He would do well with another doggy playmate.

When the fun winds down, Polar Bear switches gears seamlessly into rest and cuddle mode—often making sure he’s as close to you as possible.

He’s a smart boy, too—quick to learn, easy to train and eager to please, especially when treats and praise are involved. He loves playing with his chew toys. Before coming into our care, he had never been inside so we are working on house training and he is learning fast. He will need secure fencing and someone who is home more often than not.
