Meet Striker!
A beautiful 10-year-old White Swiss Shepherd who is looking for his forever home.
Striker finds himself in foster care through absolutely no fault of his own. His previous family experienced a change in circumstances that sadly led to the heartbreaking decision to find Striker a new family.
It was not a decision made lightly. After 10 years together, saying goodbye was incredibly difficult — but they wanted to give Striker the opportunity to find a family where he could continue to be loved, cherished and bring just as much happiness into their lives as he had brought into theirs.
And that is exactly what we hope his next chapter will be.
A Wonderful Senior Gentleman
At 10 years old, Striker is past the puppy chaos and adolescent mischief and is ready to enjoy the quieter, more settled side of life.
He is house trained, loves his humans and absolutely adores children. He has so much love and companionship to give and would make a wonderful addition to the right family.
There is something incredibly special about a dog who has spent a decade learning how to love his people. Striker has plenty of life and love left to give — he just needs someone willing to give him the chance.

Striker loves human children and enjoys being part of family life.
As with any large dog, interactions with children should always be supervised and respectful, but his love for his little humans is one of his beautiful qualities.
Striker & Other Dogs
Striker can be friendly with other dogs when given the correct introduction.
His future family will need to understand the importance of slow, appropriate introductions and giving him the opportunity to become comfortable with a new canine companion.
On the Lead
There is one important thing his future family needs to know — Striker is strong on the lead.
He is a big, powerful boy and needs someone who is physically capable of handling his strength. His new owner should be confident managing a large dog and willing to continue working with him on his lead manners.
This isn't intended to put people off Striker — it's simply about finding the right match and making sure everyone is set up for success.

Striker is looking for a loving, stable home where he can settle into a routine and spend his senior years surrounded by people who adore him.

One of Striker's most striking features is his beautiful white coat.
His gorgeous Shepherd coat does require regular brushing to keep it healthy and looking its best. His future family will need to be prepared for some grooming — and, naturally, a little bit of white fluff around the house!

Striker didn't ask to start over at 10 years old.
Through no fault of his own, the family he knew had to make the incredibly difficult decision to let him go. Now, he has the chance to find another family who will love him just as deeply and give him the security he deserves for the years ahead.
