Little Ernie

Ernie is a sweet 5-month-old boy who came down from Broome with his brother to find his forever home. Sadly, he didn’t have the best start to life, but he’s ready to leave that behind and start a new chapter with a loving family.

Ernie is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. He is an affectionate puppy who will literally bowl you over with love once he knows you. Because of his early experiences, Ernie can be a little nervous when meeting new people and will need some confidence building and patience while he learns that the world is a safe place.

He could live happily as the only dog, or with a calm, confident female dog who can help show him the ropes. He hasn’t been tested with cats.

Older children would be fine as long as they understand he may be a little shy at first and give him time to settle. As he is still young, Ernie would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to help with training, routine, and reassurance. With a patient and loving family, Ernie will blossom into the most loyal and devoted companion. All he wants is a home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of the family.
